FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Can I bring a companion?

A:  Yes!  (Provided it’s someone you really like as you’ll be seated closely!) This beautiful Waco YMF Biplane is designed for two passengers.  The front cockpit allows you and your companion to sit side-by-side while you both share the experience of open cockpit flying.

Q:  What should I wear?

A:  You should dress pretty much as you would normally for that time of year;  comfortable clothing for the weather conditions.  We will be traveling about 100 mph in an open cockpit.  Ladies, please bring a hair tie or cap, and an extra set of soft soled shoes to fly with if you are wearing heels.

Q:  Can we bring a camera?

A:  Yes.  You can bring your own camera.   If used in-flight, it must be equipped with a strap to prevent losing it over the side or in the bottom of the airplane.  Outside the windscreen the wind can be very strong and slippery phones are hard to hold onto and could damage the plane or harm someone below if dropped.

Q:  How do I schedule my flight?

A:  It’s easy.  We schedule flights by appointment.  Simply coordinate your arrangements with others who may wish to join you, give us a call to schedule your flight, and we will do everything possible to be accommodating.

Q:  How far in advance do I need to call to schedule my flight?

A:  You can call anytime.  We suggest that you call at least a week in advance to schedule special dates and times.

Q:  What if it rains or the weather is otherwise bad?

A:  No problem…  we simply reschedule your flight for another day.  Or cancel if your plans don’t allow a reschedule.  Flights are subject to favorable weather conditions conducive to your flight enjoyment and safety.

Q:  Are there any age, weight, size, or health limitations?

A:  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  The plane has mandated weight and balance restrictions and individuals weighing more than 275 pounds or couples with a combined weight of more than 400 pounds may be ineligible.  Please be certain to advise us in advance of any health problems.

Q:  What form of payment do you accept?

A:  Currently, we accept cash payment.

Q:  How early do I need to arrive for my flight?

A:  About 15-20 minutes early.  That allows time for photos, a preflight briefing, and any questions answered.
